Sports and entertainment venue WiFi roller banner designs
The Challenge
HPE Aruba Networking needed a series of roll-up banners for a large technology expo targeting sports and entertainment venue operators. Positioned in a spacious hall, the banners had to capture attention quickly and communicate key messages at a glance — even from a distance. With most attendees at the top of the marketing funnel, the messaging needed to focus on high-level brand values rather than technical details.
Solutions and Outcomes
To ensure immediate visual impact, I kept the messaging concise and direct, highlighting Aruba’s core brand values. For the visuals, I used a mix of:
- Bold, colourful patterns representing data waves to symbolise speed and connectivity.
- Photography featuring relatable models styled to reflect the end-user audience, creating a sense of authenticity and connection.
To reinforce the brand’s dynamic nature, I incorporated repeating "kinetic" typography from the HPE brand toolkit, adding a sense of motion and energy to the designs. The banners combined large, striking graphics with crisp, high-contrast text to ensure visibility and legibility from a distance.
The banners were well-received by the field marketing team and booth staff, praised for their strong visual appeal and effective communication. They’ve since been repurposed for other industry events, proving their lasting value and versatility.
